Anthony Kearns, born in Co. Considered Ireland’s Finest Tenor, Anthony also has a thriving international solo career performing concert tours, oratorio, on opera stages, and with some of the world’s finest orchestras.

Anthony enjoys celebrating his heritage by presenting the music of his beloved homeland around the world.  For all his devotion the traditional songs of home, Anthony is climbing ever higher into the world of opera.  His opera credits include the lead in Faust (for Opera Ireland) about which The Irish Times wrote:  "Kearns’ subtle tonal shading and judicious use of well-supported head voice complements an exciting top register" and Carmen’s Don José for Glasthule Opera Company in Ireland.  Carmen was also reviewed by The Irish Times and is quoted: "Anthony Kearns proved a top-notch Don José, rising to each decisive moment with quality to spare."  He will sing Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) in Ireland in June of 2011.

Anthony sang Romeo for the Naples [Florida] Opera Company’s production of Romeo & Juliet:  Then and Now.  He again appeared with them in January 2011 for his official U.S. full-scale opera debut, when they presented Lucia di Lammermoor with Anthony singing the tenor lead role of Edgardo.  Said Steffanie Pearce, Opera Naples General and Artistic Director:  "Anthony’s vocal technique is incredible; his high notes are thrilling and virile.  He is a joy to work with.  Voices like this don’t come along very often.  It’s a voice-of-the-century voice.”

Anthony was invited to participate in a television special taped in Prague in February 2010 for Ireland’s Mind the Gap Films.  Hallelujah Broadway was aired on U.S. PBS Stations in the summer of 2010, and again at Christmas, to rave reviews.

Dedicated to the greater good, Anthony has spent considerable time and energy singing benefit concerts for worthy causes both in Ireland and America.  This past Memorial Day, he sang at the National Moment of Remembrance in Washington D.C. and at the Kennedy Center for the same holiday.  He is currently performing for The Wexford Institute in support of their work for Autism Awareness and assisting victims of childhood trauma, presenting benefit concerts from coast to coast.  Plans are underway to take that tour international in the fall.   Anthony recently performed at the New Zealand Embassy at a prestigious event jointly benefiting the USO Wounded Warriors organization and Thanks USA, a non-profit organization whose goal is to assist the families of our troops.
