Brief Biography for

Patrick Healy was born in Dublin, beginning his piano studies at three. While attending the Jesuit school Belevedere, he developed a life-long love of the work of Gilbert and Sullivan, and is now recognized as an authority on their work. He attended the Royal Irish Academy of Music and University College Dublin. He also studied in Rome.

Healy spent years with the English National Opera in London as a voice coach and repetiteur*. He has appreared often on the BBC and has toured the world as an accompanist to great artists. Patrick is also known for his recordings and performances in the realm of Irish Folk Music. He has often served as a radio host on the RTÉ .

Healy's association with Anthony Kearns began while the young tenor was studying at the Leinster School with Dr. Dunne. Their friendship flourished, as well as a mutual respect and appreciation for each other's talents. Mr. Healy serves as accompanist on all Anthony's Solo Tours, and is referred to by Mr. Kearns as "the comedy relief for the evening."

Besides being an accomplished pianist, Patrick has taken a hand at songwriting, having written a beautiful ballad for Anthony, "Hills of Home," a lovely lullaby for him, "A Father's Prayer," as well as two comedy duets which they often perform together.
